Does MD Anderson offer health insurance?
MD Anderson is proud to provide free medical coverage for benefits eligible full-time employees and part-time employees who work 30 or more hours per week. Our benefits plan is administered through The University of Texas System’s Office of Employee Benefits.
Does MD Anderson pay into TRS?
Your TRS annuity is paid by TRS and is separate from your benefits premium payment. If you elect insurance coverage other than the free medical coverage for retirees, MD Anderson will draft the premiums from your bank account.

You must be a MD Anderson patient before you are eligible to participate. Once you make your first appointment with us, you will be able to discuss clinical trial opportunities with your MD Anderson physician.
How do you get into MD Anderson fast?
You can call 1-877-632-6789 to schedule an appointment with MD Anderson or the patient can log in to MyChart to request a new appointment. If the patient hasn’t registered for MyChart yet, they can call 1-877-632-6789 to request an activation code. Registration is quick and easy.
Does MD Anderson have financial assistance?
A financial assistance program provides coverage for MD Anderson care to cancer patients who meet residency and financial eligibility requirements. The care MD Anderson provides to these patients is referred to as uncompensated care.
