Is Lynn ma Medically underserved?
Lynn is a federally designated Medically Underserved Area and a Health Professional Shortage Area. In our community, providing access to primary care, behavioral health services and dental care has been a continuing challenge. Lynn’s minority population comprises 57.5% of the population, compared to 28.5% statewide.
Who owns Lynn Community Health Center?
LCHC is a National Health Service Corp site. Lynn Community Health Center has been recognized as a 2020 Health Center Quality Leader by HRSA. LCHC has been recognized by HRSA as a 2020 National Quality Leader for Behavioral Health.
What makes a community medically underserved?
Medically Underserved Areas/Populations are areas or populations designated by HRSA as having too few primary care providers, high infant mortality, high poverty or a high elderly population.
