What is a Student health Center?
The Student Health Center provides students with high-quality medical care and health education. Student Health Services provides care that is similar to a family practice setting, giving special attention to the needs of college students. Services include, but are not limited to, the following.
Is the Student health Center free?
The SHC charges a minimal fee for laboratory exams, radiology exams, durable medical supplies like crutches, splints, etc., and medications such as immunizations. These fees are charged to the student’s bursar account and may be paid at the time of service.

Clinic Hours Monday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tuesday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Wednesday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Thursday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

NYU’s Student Health Center (SHC) is a campus resource and service center for all matriculated students. We offer universal, hassle-free appointment- based and walk-in medical and counseling services at either no cost or very reduced cost to all NYU students, regardless of insurance coverage.
Do SJSU students get health insurance?
SJSU requires all inbound international students to purchase the SJSU health insurance coverage prior to registering for classes. You can register for the mandatory SJSU health insurance online. International Students will not be able to register for classes without first purchasing SJSU health insurance.

Does NYU offer health insurance?
The NYU health insurance plan is mandatory for all students at NYU in F-1 or J-1 status. This plan meets the insurance requirements for J-1 students. Students in F-1 and J-1 status are automatically enrolled in and billed for the NYU-sponsored student health insurance comprehensive plan upon registration each semester.

With the NYU Dental Plan, administered by MetLife, participants have the freedom of choice to visit any dentist, whether they are in or out of the MetLife Preferred Dentist Program (PDP) network.
