Where is the Student Health Center American University?
On campus, we are located in Hughes 105, Monday-Friday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. This is where students (when AU is operating in-person) may drop in to pick up condoms and other sexual health resources, such as lube and internal condoms.

American is not by any means a big party school- we are a dry campus, even if you are 21 and living on campus. Generally there is one or two parties per weekend night, but because we are dry, all parties are off campus which can make it a hassle to get to sometimes.

Once your application is complete, you should hear from us with an admissions decision in 3-4 weeks. Please note that fall transfer applications will not begin to be reviewed until mid-March.
Do American universities offer interviews?
Interview. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements and have a complete application will be invited for a phone interview with the AU Gap Program before a final admissions decision is made. If the applicant is local to the DC, MD, VA area, applicants are welcome to request an in-person interview.
